Making as Research
Embracing a Process-Based Practice, 2023
Book Design. Personal Continuation of Capstone Project.
A Process Documentation on
Multisensory Design:
HK Memories
This book is a personal archive that narrates the journey of the nine-month long capstone project, from September 2022 to May 2023. While one of the many final “outcomes” for project Multisensory Design: HK Memories, 2022-2023, took place in the form of an installation, the essence of the work lies within the making/ research process, learnings, conversations, and connections built. Thus, it was important that a coherent form of these documentation is to be collected, embraced and remembered.
This publication also reflects on the insightful journey of building and embracing a process- based practice; one of the biggest learnings from the Project.
A total of 15 copies were printed and hand bound in August 2023, featuring a cover/ back using a similar weaving method as the RWB Map installation piece from the Project.
Book details:
112 pages with a set of 2 RWB risograph poster, hard cover (weaving), loose leaf metal ring bind, 8”x8”.
